EKEDC aka Nepa Gives Reasons For Upcoming 5 Days Blackout In Lagos
The Eko Electricity Distribution Company has given reasons why some areas in Lagos would be left in the dark due to technical and maintenance issues. The blackout would affect areas like Victoria Island,Ikoyi and parts of Lagos Island from Wednesday,May 24th to Sunday,May 28th.
The EKEDC made the announcement on Monday, May 22, through a statement by spokesman, Godwin Idemudia.
He added that the outage was necessary to allow the maintenance crew from the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) address technical issues at the Alagbon transmission station.

The EKEDC made the announcement on Monday, May 22, through a statement by spokesman, Godwin Idemudia.
“We want to inform our esteem customers that from Wednesday, May 24 to Sunday, May 28, there will be an outage within Ikoyi, Victoria Island and parts of Lagos Island,” Idemudia said.
