Data tarrif hike to begin December 1?
Africa's telecommunication giant Mtn sent out a text to its subscribers recently. It reads:
“Dear customer, please be informed that from 1st of December, some MTN data tariffs will be increased to reflect the new rates set by the NCC for operators. Thank you.”
Although NCC is yet to certify, but a source reveals that the regulatory body is unaware of the plans.
It's not certain yet if other network operators will follow suit but if this is true, then the regular 1.5 gigabyte for N1000 would increase to N3000. That's N1000 per 500 megabytes.
