The Circle If you tend to gain weight around the middle (or you simply want to hide a few post-pregnancy pounds), clothes should fit loosely around the midsection (to conceal a full stomach) and more snugly elsewhere (to play up thin limbs). Styles to avoid: Anything that draws attention to the middle―like high-rise pants, belts, and waist-cinching tops.
Do fitted dresses around the belly? Nooo!, you want to drag attention from your bulging belly ( baby bump, post baby fat, just fat ;) over fed belly) to your lovely outfit, makeup, shoes, bag and other accessories. trust me the first thing people notice (involuntarily) on you is how fitting/shapely your outfit is. So if you want to create a wow effect, your dress has to fit your shape. a round belly is not an excuse.
Styles to embrace: slim cut pants paired with a-line top, tunic styled top or dresses, Peplum tops or dresses, empire waist tops or dresses
