Department of State Security Services (DSS) Seizes Former NNPC GMD’s Passport
Few days after Joseph Dawha was
sacked as the Group Managing Director(GMD)
of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation
(NNPC), the Department of State Security
Services (DSS) has seized his passport, reports
NewsDay.
The DSS equally seized the passports of the
eight other Group Executives Directors, GEDs
who were sacked along with Dawha.
The move is to stop them from interfering in the
ongoing probe in the oil sector, especially the
controversial crude oil swap.
The DSS and the Economic and Financial
Crimes Commission (EFCC) are currently
investigating the roles played by Dawha and the
former Group Executives Directors in the crude
oil swap and sundry dealings in the corporation.
The cases against them also bother on
allegations of abuse of office and under handing
oil dealings in the corporation.
