ADAMAWA KICKS AGAINST EXTENSION OF EMERGENCY RULE
The proposed extention of emergency rule in three northeastern states by President Goodluck Jonathan has been met with condemnation by the Adamawa state Governor, Murtala Nyako.
The President had written to the National Assembly on Wednesday, seeking an extension of the emergency rule in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe States.
Nyako said the Jonathan had succumbed to pressure, to extend the politically-motivated emergency rule in Adamawa. The Governor also asked the National Assembly to treat every state on its own merit while considering the President's request.
